Located in the up and coming Queen West West corridor, Westside Lofts was one of the first condominium developments launched in Parkdale Village. Future residents and investors alike needed the foresight to overlook the rough appearance of the local shops and lack of quality commercial space to realize the future potential of this amazing neighbourhood. This busy sector of Queen West West known as the Art and Design District, was already on the cusp of something "big" with the revitalization of hot spots like The Drake Hotel and The Gladstone Hotel and popular hangouts like The Social, The Rhino, Cadillac Lounge, Saigon Flower, Rolling Stones and the newly appointed Nyood Restaurant, Queen West West was only getting bigger and better.
In my opinion, this sector of Queen West was the best bang for your buck. With 24 hr TTC at your doorstep, 5 minutes to downtown by car and walking distance to great cafe's, restaurants, lounges, art gallery's, hotels and grocery stores, it was just a matter of time before potential buyers caught on.
Once Westside Lofts is completed and the local population density increases, you will physically see the transformation in commercial and retail space in the surrounding area as the new residents will demand more cafe's, restaurants, boutiques and shops. Queen West West was already a destination, now it will be home for many future residents.
Although Westside Lofts had a rough start with pending delays, OMB Hearings, cancellations etc...those who had the stomach to weather the storm will benefit in the end.
Westside Lofts features 9 foot ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, Stainless Steel Appliances, engineered laminate flooring, exposed concrete ceilings and one of Toronto's best neighbourhoods.
